Wrestling

What

Wrestling is two opponents from a standing position trying to utilize a variety of takedowns, trips, throws amongst each other to ‘pin’ one another to the ground (ex. keeping the back flat on the mat, or expose the back) and consolidate the position to maintain control.

EX. Wrestling is a necessary skill because in many circumstances the attacker, opponent or combatant may try to grab you or take you down. wrestling will give you an understanding of how to maneuver, teaches you various angles so your child knows how to move and gain control both on your feet and on the ground.

How

Every student is put through situational events in a standing format, making the format view as a game with series that will get them prepared as best as possible. Having them engage as much as possible with a lot of trial and error happening so the learning process grows within themselves.

Why

Learning how to read a situation from standing and taking them to the floor to prevent injury on your child. It helps develop comfortability in any situation, helps with flexibility, core strength, stamina, gain social friends during the time spent in the class. Whether for self defense or when you can defend in close range and gain positional control. All of this allows you to understand the offensive and defensive situations with holds and locks on the ground. Therefore your child will be prepared for most situations or if you want a physical activity for your child where they get tired and have fun, the benefits is great all around.

If you’re afraid to fail, you’ll never succeed

Wrestling is a taxing sport, but it pays in dividends when you learn to keep pushing
