No. 03 · Core values
What we hold to.
Three core values and six guiding principles. This is what gets taught and practiced here every day.
What we stand for
Three things,in this order.
- 01
Grow their confidence
A decent amount of knowledge and skill level of a combination of the three of those skills (Kickboxing, Wrestling, Submission Grappling) should provide your child with needed ability for protection and security of yourself and your child. Basic and fundamental knowledge of these three martial arts equip the confidence needed for self defense, competitive sport, or daily activities.
- 02
Daily Programs
Each program consists of its own style of self defense, catering towards specific movements that will have your children prepared or in general tired from class. so your child has something new to anticipate with each class.
- 03
Age-level learning
Our programs are curated for all ages, so every lesson offers the appropriate level of engagement for each student.
Underneath that
Six guiding principles.
01
Confidence
Built through small, repeated wins. Nobody gets to skip the hard parts.
02
Discipline
Showing up when it's inconvenient. Doing the basics when nobody's watching.
03
Respect
For the instructors, for training partners, and for the lineage you're inheriting.
04
Perseverance
Setbacks are part of the curriculum. We teach kids how to work through them.
05
Community
Stronger students help newer students. That's how the room works.
06
Safety
Physical and emotional. You can work hard here because the room looks out for you.
How we live them
From the mat to the rest of the week.
In every class
Students bow in and bow out. Practice begins and ends with respect, the basics get drilled, and small wins get noticed out loud.
Beyond the mat
We ask families to keep it going at home: patience, focus at school, and following through on small promises.
In the community
The academy shows up at local events and helps families who need a hand.
